Simply dial *228 and follow the menu instructions.
I believe all you have to press is 1 to program then wait.

With the Krave you can also go to tools>phone>SW/HW upgrade.

The newest version is actually BLAZE1_01.19.11P   You have to download it off of the motorola website.

There is new SW just released this week, 1.28.02P, you can get it at the moto site below or take the phone in to a VZW store for update... fixes a lot and is worth the effort...

This doesn't update the software, it updates the PRL (Prefered Roaming List) to give you the most up to date access to the newest towers for greater roaming connections, and its Option 2.  The others are correct you can either do the FOTA (Firmware Over the air) which takes a few minutes to do, or just take it into a retail technician which only takes minutes to flash but could take HOURS in line....lol
