I have tried sending wav and midi files.    Any mp3's I have are too big or not the right type of file.   I haven't figured out how to convert the mp3's to the right size yet.  The files come thru... just can't save as ringtone... I can only save to my sounds folder

I was able to get ringtones to work thru a program that will let me load directly from my computer to the Krave via the data cable.   Thanks for all the help.

if you don't have a text plan, and don't want to pay the $0.25 for a picture message, put the phone into airplane mode (where it's not connected via any network) and then send the text message.  the message will fail of course, but you can still open it up from your sent messages and apply the sound as a ringtone.
