I can't, for the life of me, get my PC or laptop to recognize the Krave. I have installed the drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, uninstalled the newest drivers and tried to use an old version, downloaded the drivers from Motorola's website, downloaded the drivers from VZW.com, and done every other imaginable action to try and get it to work - all for nothing.
When I try to sync the phone to transfer some tunes, Windows will pop up the installing drivers balloon and claim that they have been successfully installed. It will even correctly ID the phone for what it is. The moment I exit that popup, the computer gives no indication that the phone is there. Not even in the device manager as a modem or USB composite device. Nothing.
The phone will say it is connected, however the computer doesn't recognize that the phone is even there.
Now the weird part, which makes me concerned that it may be a phone software issue is that the phone will continue to say it's connected even if I unplug the USB cable. My wife's Dare will change to a connection failure message and tell you to check the cable if you unplug it while it's connected. The Krave should also recognize that it's not connected any longer, but it doesn't.
So I'm open to any suggestions. I've already entered a support ticket with both Motorola and VZW, so when and if they respond with a workable solution, I'll post it here for others with the same problem.
