Hello Gang,

My name is Brian Carotenuto, and I just recently picked up the Krave from my local VZW store.  I am just coming off of my sixth V9M (last unit was swapped out due to electrical issues with the display shorting out while on vacation in Williamsburg, VA back in December '08.)  I am slowly adjusting to the phone and the features.  The touch screen is very sensitive and I am still trying to get everything set up and tweaked the way that I like.  I had to swap out the standard battery due to excessive battery drain and ordered the extended battery to keep everything moving and working without any worry of the phone going dead.  Any suggestions for me regarding the sensitivity of the touch screen would be greatly appreciated (For example:  If I want to select "Jane Doe" to call, and "John Doe" is the contact below, the phone dials John Doe instead of the contact for Jane Doe.  I'm not sure if the display can be calibrated?  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I look foreward to be hearing from the group soon!

Sincerely,

Brian Carotenuto

PS:  I am currently running the most recent software for the phone.

Phone calibrates at every power up. Also depending on the shape of your finger you may want to check where you contact point is actually. If you are pressing in a area the actual pressure of my finger is about the end of my nail toward my wrist, so if I were to try to act like I was aiming with my tip I would be hitting the item below. Just a thought.

no, there's no calibration.

But are you absolutely certain you have the latest software? What you're describing is a problem I had with the old software. The most current software is not an over-the-air update, it has to be loaded on the phone.

The easy way to tell- when you look at the dialpad or QWERTY keys, are the keys square or oval. If they are square, its the old software.
