I really like the Krave, but I think it needs some software upgrades soon. Here's my wish list for software upgrades for the Krave. I'm interested in what others would like to see most. I haven't had my Krave very long, though, so I may be missing some work-arounds or features.
1) option to select which apps are available when the flip is closed. I don't use any of the ones currently available, so I just keep the lock on and open the flip to use the phone.
2) display backlight option of "always on when flip open". I hate it when I'm talking on the phone and looking at a photo of the person and can see buttons to "end call" or "switch speaker phone mode" and my screen goes blank. Or alternatively, "always on when off hook or using any app".
3) sticky option to speakerphone mode (i.e. remember last setting during previous call). I like the auto-lock option, but I currently have it turned off since I usually want to turn on speakerphone for most calls.
4) option to remove (or hide) the buttons on the bottom of the web browser in landscape mode which waste a lot of web screen space. They could auto hide and then return when the home button was first pushed or roll up to a small button or something.
5) option to add some buttons (with photos) for direct dialing of favorite contacts to main background screen which could hide when the menu button was pushed. This should be displayed as soon as I open the flip and maybe could also be displayed when the flip is closed and unlocked.
6) option to add redial button on main background screen, since I call the same person a lot.
7) option to hide unused menu options. I don't have vz nav or tv, for example.
8) option to have any app, for example dialpad, display (or run) as soon as flip is opened, unless answering a call. I would rather have #5, but this would be a good alternative. this could also be used to run voice command as soon as the flip was opened, for example.
9) option to change the "lock" background wallpaper.
10) option to unlock and delete the pictures that came with the phone.

Yeah, you pretty much just hit the nail on the head. Someone forward this to Verizon.

I forwarded the list to Verizon, just in case no one else did. I also cc'd several of their execs, including the CEO.

They weren't that hard to figure out, actually. I found the CEO's name and email online, and saw that the syntax is " FirstName.LastName@verizonwireless.com" So I looked up the other executives names on the VZW site, and just took their name and input it into the same format. For example, David Small is david.small@verizonwireless.com (he's the President of the Northeast area).

New update available and it has speed dial What's the version? I just checked the update function on my phone and it says there's no new updates. I have BLAZE1_01.19.0AP version, and have had it since I updated my phone last month.

New version is BLAZE1_01.28.02P. It also changed the layout of the keyboard (number pad has round buttons now), keyboard is more responsive and the back button is bigger. Probably more stuff but that is what I noticed.

Is this update from Verizon or Motorola?

It's an update from Motorola. You have to get it from the Motorola website. It's not an over-the-air update.
