I've been using mine since later last year. I really like it, but as you read other comments, some people don't like it. It is not a phone for a heavy texter (Rival is much better as it has a real qwerty keyboard). But since you are a light texter and if you don't mind the flip getting in the way of your left hand in qwerty mode, you'll like the big screen, pocketability, and ability to pick up weak signals. But... go to a VZW store and just play with your choices for a few minutes, it will be well worth your time.
